The bikes – The Rusty Cycle Shed offers the best bikes in Argyll; now recent model Giant, Specialized, Merida and cannondale hybrids. Also mountain bikes, road bikes and a tandem. A range of accessories, helmets, pumps, repair kits, panniers, bob yak style cargo trailer etc. For special requirements give me a call in advance and I will see if I can help.
The service – The Rusty Cycle Shed is the longest established bike hire service in the area, here since 2003. Bikes serviced to a high standard can be delivered to your hotel, guest house or campsite and collected afterwards. We will also deliver and collect from rail, bus, air and ferry terminals in the area. Alternatively come and take a bike from here and enjoy local routes in and around Oban and Lorn.
Daily/weekly rates
Hybrids £25/day – £100/week
Mountain Bikes £30/day – £120/week
and pro rata for extra days. Including helmet, emergency tools etc.
Delivery/Collection – Oban, Benderloch, Connel, Kilmore Taynuilt £20 for any number of bikes. Further afield 50p per mile for total distance travelled + travel time. We can deliver and collect from virtually anywhere with an address or not, please ask for a price.
Remote collection -This can be arranged if you are not planning to return to the Oban area. Courier collection from Stornoway, Ullapool or between Inverness, Fort William and Oban is easy to arrange. Also available for Inner Hebrides – Mull and Islay . Other areas may be possible. POA.
Routes – There are spectacular routes all around the area. I can advise on routes to suit your ability and time available.
Parking – Long term parking is available nearby at Lochavulin Road. South East of Tescos. Secure undercover parking is available at Stoddart’s.
